TERMINAL FAQ
Everything about me
but not too much ;)

Frontend, mostly. I take a product from a Figma file or a rough idea to a live, fast, accessible interface that people can use. React, Next.js, TypeScript and Tailwind are my daily tools.
On most teams I have been the only frontend engineer, so I own everything from the HTTP boundary up: the design system, the pages, the API layer, the auth flow, the build and the deploy. When a feature needs a backend half to exist, I write that too, usually in Go or SQL.
Yes, a lot. Claude Code is open next to my editor most of the day. It writes the first draft, I own the last line.
What AI does not do is decide that six hand rolled tables should become one, or notice that iOS quietly drops the URL from a share sheet, or catch a test that passes for the wrong reason. That judgement is the job now. The typing was never the hard part.
Because a prompt does not know your users. It will happily generate a screen that looks fine and fails a person on a keyboard, a person on a cheap phone, or a person halfway through a form with the photo they need on a different device.
It will not tell you the API you are about to build against has a bug. And it will not sit on a call with you and ask the second question that changes the whole feature. Generating code is cheap now. Knowing what to build, what to leave out and when it is actually done is what you pay for.
That is most of what I do. Every client I have worked with is a small team or a founder, and every one of them found me through this site.
Before I quote anything I want to understand your product and where it is going, because I do my best work when I care about the thing. Once I am in, I treat it like it is mine. I will push back when something is wrong, ship when it is right, and tell you plainly when I do not know something yet. So far every client has renewed.
Yes. On one product there was no designer and no component library, so I built the design system from nothing: tokens, dark mode, forty odd primitives, the icon set, all of it. Feature code never writes a raw colour, which is why dark mode took a day instead of a month.
I also love working with a good designer. Hand me a Figma file and I will ship it faithfully, and tell you where it breaks on a real phone before your users do.
More than most. I have owned WCAG 2.2 AA on a product sold to UK universities, where it is a procurement requirement and not a nice to have.
That meant an audit that names its own failures instead of claiming a green tick, contrast ratios computed rather than eyeballed, live regions so screen readers hear errors, keyboard for everything, and accessibility lint rules that fail the build in CI. If you sell to the public sector, education or the EU, this is not optional anymore. I already know how to do it.
Yes. Frontend is where I spend most of my day, and I ship the backend my features need. On a production fintech I wrote the Go endpoints, the Postgres migrations, the sqlc queries and the handler tests for the things I was building, and on smaller sites I have done the same with Node and Drizzle.
I pick up a new stack fast. Go was new to me when I joined that team, and I was shipping endpoints within weeks. If your product needs something I have not touched yet, I will learn it and get it live.
MacBook, VS Code with Claude Code beside it, Figma, Linear, and GitHub with a pull request for everything. Vercel, Cloudflare or Azure for deploys, depending on the client. Vitest and Playwright for tests, Knip and ESLint so the codebase stays clean, PostHog for knowing what users actually do. Obsidian for keeping my brain organised.
Udaipur, India, fully remote. My clients are in London and the US Central time zone, so I am used to overlapping with both. Mornings or evenings IST both work for me.
I run on written updates, a weekly review where I show what shipped, and quick calls when something is blocked. Nobody has needed me online at 3am yet.
Honest answer: nobody is ever finished. If something is perfect there is no room left to grow, and I would rather keep growing.
What I can promise is this. Whether it is a tiny ticket or a full revamp of a live product, I give it everything. I learn fast and I figure things out. Go, pure CSS, a vendor API I have never seen before. I will learn it and I will deliver.
So, am I good enough? Yes. I believe I am.
Email vedasdixit.work@gmail.com or find me on LinkedIn. Tell me what you are building and where it hurts. I reply myself, not a template, usually the same day.
